Rex McArthur serves as Director of AI/ML at Procurement Sciences, where he leads the Data, AI, and Machine Learning organization. Rex brings deep expertise in production ML systems and large language models, ensuring that Awarded AI delivers world-class agentic and RAG platforms with exceptional information retrieval and generative quality.
Rex’s career began in government contracting at Raytheon before moving to Apple and Lyft, where he built sequence-to-sequence models for ETA prediction and map construction algorithms serving millions of daily rides. At Jasper AI, he built the AI/ML team from the ground up, leading Data and Inference through the company’s hypergrowth from $20 million to over $100 million ARR. Rex then led Enterprise AI at You.com under founder Richard Socher, scaling the new business vertical from zero to $10 million in revenue in under 18 months and a billion dollar valuation.
Rex brings a metrics-driven approach to AI development, with deep expertise in evaluation frameworks that ensure models perform reliably in high-stakes environments. His experience spans the full AI lifecycle—from research prototyping to production systems at scale. He has also served as an advisor to Abstract, a civic tech startup focused on government data accessibility, reflecting his long-standing interest in applying technology to public sector challenges.
Rex holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Brigham Young University. He is dedicated to building the AI infrastructure that helps government contractors find, win, and deliver contracts faster and smarter.
